Stephan Bonnar: UFC Hall of Famer/Martial Arts Expert
Stephan Bonnar is a UFC legend & a world-class Mix Martial Artist. Stephan has an extensive background in combat sports earning black belts in TaeKwonDo & Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training under the legendary Carlson Gracie Sr. before his death in 2006. He holds two Chicago Golden Glove Superheavyweight titles & has trained his Muay Thai extensively in Thailand under the late great Kryod Tong at the world famous Sityodtong Gym. He also is a certified Krav Hagana instructor & teaches at C.R.I counterterrorism training school in Las Vegas.
In 2005, Bonnar was the runner-up on “The Ultimate Fighter” season 1 on Spike TV. His fight with Forrest Griffin at the “TUF1 Ultimate Fighter Finale” is widely considered to be the most important fight in UFC history. The fight has long been touted by UFC President Dana White, as having saving the UFC. Dana White has made it no secret that the UFC was -$62,000,000 & the owners (Lorenzo & Frank Fertitta) were ready to give up on the UFC for good. The Ultimate Fighter was their “Hail Mary.” That single fight completely change the course of history and the sport of Mixed Martial Arts exploded worldwide. Over the course of his career, Bonnar has fought 7 world champions included greats such as Anderson Silva & Jon Jones who are widely considered to be the greatest fighters of all time. Jones said Bonnar gave him his toughest fight as he was able best Bonnar to a 29-28 decision.
Stephan is also an Ace certified personal trainer with over 20 years of experience. He graduated from Purdue in 2000 with a double major in Sports Medicine & Exercise Science, with a minor in nutrition.
He specializes in body transformation programs placing an emphasis on proper nutrition by teaching clients how exactly their metabolism works and how it breaks down & metabolizes nutrients. Stephan is an enthusiastic advocate of Real Water & has personally felt the difference it has made in his recovery & outstanding endurance which is evident when he performs in the cage.
